Inspiration for body builders out there

The video speaks for itself. How one can achieve his dream body with constant effort and dedication.

To quote from the source
"...It took Aamir 13 months of workout, with a daily regime of about four hours, to achieve the next to impossible look for 'Ghajini'.

Aamir Khan used to get tired exercising and sometimes even used to shriek in pain and cry doing the stomach crunches, but he did not skip a single day. Every week his body used to show results and that kept him going..."

My home gym

Like I wrote in my previous post, my Body solid G1S home gym was delivered on wednesday. With that my home gymnasium collection is almost complete.

Why do I say its almost complete? Actually, the equipments I have is sufficient to train all the major muscle groups for a novice body builder. But, what my father feels that it should have a treadmill to be complete....Hmmm, why would I wanna spoil his wish?

Well, now I'm on a hunt for treadmill. The good news is he'll fund for the treadmill and also some minor renovation of my gymnasium (actually I used up the store room space for my gym =) ).

Enough said. Now, let together admire my home gym collection.

Chin up bar at the entrance to my room

Dumbells collection

Bench press & sit-up station

Stationary bike - my cardio workout station

Behold!!! My new Body solid G1S home gym

...And occasionally some outdoor activities =)
Ooops, I almost forgot. Merry christmas and Happy new year to all my friends.

How fit are you?

I have been planning to purchase a gym equipment for a long time. So, as soon as I got my bonus for this year, I paid a visit to Fitness Concept store in IOI mall.

The equipment of my choice was Body solid's G1S dual station gym. It cost me a whopping RM 3,000.00 and I shall write a review about it after its delivered on wednesday.

I also had my fitness level measured today by body composition analyzer. Below is the reproduction of the report i received.

BODY TYPE : STANDARD
GENDER : MALE
AGE : 24
HEIGHT : 170 cm
WEIGHT : 72.1 kg
BMI : 24.9
BMR : 6733 kJ (1609 kcal)
IMPEDANCE : 474 ohm
FAT% : 24.9%
FAT MASS : 18.0 kg
FFM : 54.1 kg
TBW : 39.6 kg

DESIRABLE RANGE
FAT% : 14 - 20%
FAT MASS : 8.8 - 13.5 kg

TARGET BF% is : 20%
PREDICTED WEIGHT : 67.7 kg
PREDICTED FAT MASS : 13.6 kg
FAT TO LOSE : 4.4 kg

So, despite all the workout I've been doing for the past few months I'm still a little overweight it seems. But, I was also informed that once we start building mass (body building) BMI cannot be applied anymore.

I have already made my new year's resolution. How about you? How fit are you?

3D cross-eye stereogram

A stereogram is an optical illusion of depth created from flat, two-dimensional images. Originally, stereogram referred to a pair of stereo images which could be viewed using stereoscope.

Stereogram was discovered by Charles Wheatstone in 1838. He found an explanation of binocular vision which led him to construct a stereoscope based on a combination of prisms and mirrors to allow a person to see 3D images from two 2D pictures.

Here are some really impressive photos I’ve found on the net and there are hundreds of them. These images do not need stereoscopes to view and can be viewed by slightly defocusing your eyes and then cross them until an image appears in the middle and then relax your eyes to get a stable 3-D image. It’s worth the trouble.

And finally a video stereogram,

Brain teaser: Who owns the fish?

Its going to be a long weekend i guess, with Raya Haji holidays in the corner. It doesn't hurt to work your brain a little while enjoying the holidays.

The following brain teaser was designed by none other than Albert Einstein himself. Have fun figuring out.

There are 5 houses in 5 different colours. In each house lives a person of a different nationality. The 5 owners drink a certain type of beverage, smoke a certain brand of cigar, and keep a certain pet. Using the clues below can you determine who owns the fish?

The Brit lives in a red house.
The Swede keeps dogs as pets.
The Dane drinks tea.
The green house is on the immediate left of the white house.
The green house owner drinks coffee.
The person who smokes Pall Mall rears birds.
The owner of the yellow house smokes Dunhill.
The man living in the house right in the middle drinks milk.
The Norwegian lives in the first house.
The man who smokes Blend lives next door to the one who keeps cats.
The man who keeps horses lives next door to the man who smokes Dunhill.
The owner who smokes Blue Master drinks beer.
The German smokes Prince.
The Norwegian lives next to the blue house.
The man who smokes Blend has a neighbour who drinks water.

answer: The German owns the fish
